Martin Saidler, Founder & Owner
Representing the 13th generation of the Saidler family, Martin Saidler - a Swiss citizen born in 1967 - runs Saidler & Co. Saidler & Co. is structured as an investment firm and a New York-based hedge fund.
In 1995, he established an internet investment portfolio and sold selected portfolio companies to major international corporations. In 1999, Saidler & Co. generated proceeds of CHF 25 million from the sale of a technology company. From then on, it started developing an innovative investment strategy, through the House View, which has grown into a portfolio that has generated significant profits.
Over the years, Martin Saidler has supported the philanthropic efforts of the Yad Hanadiv (the Rothschild Foundation) and has been a proud partner of the Global Leadership Foundation (GLF). The GLF was founded by former President of South Africa and Nobel Laureate FW de Klerk.
Severin Ruegger, Partner
Severin Jan Rüegger co-founded Sandbox Network (2007), a global network for talented young professionals and emerging leaders below the age of 30 across 100 countries, and Solosso (2009), an international ecommerce company, which was later acquired by a Swiss retail chain. Previously, Mr Rüegger invested in and co-founded a social commerce venture in South East Asia, which was acquired by a stock market listed company in 2011. He published a book on market-entry strategies in the Chinese banking market in 2009 and was named founder of the week by the Financial Times in 2010. Mr. Rüegger has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Gallen and a Master’s degree in Management from the London School of Economics (LSE).
Carrington Joy Finnen, Vice President of Investor Relations & Operations
Previously, Carrington worked for the Chief Operating Officer of D.E. Shaw as a Project Manager for 3 years. Formerly, Carrington spent nearly 5 years at Bridgewater Associates working as a Client Advisor for the APAC Client Team. She was responsible for overall relationship management for their Australia client base and acted as an external stakeholder for the firms Strategic Partners. She also spent 3 years at JP Morgan Asset Management overseeing portfolio management for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. Carrington has a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She currently resides in New York City with her husband and 2 children. She serves as a Junior Board Member at the Museum of Natural History and Museum of Modern Art.
Luca Toscani, Chief Operating Officer
20 years of experience as an executive, entrepreneur and investor in Europe, U.S. and Asia. Formerly, a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at TPRV Capital, LP, a Harvard endowment spin-out focused on relative value investments. Started his career in London at Bear Stearns equity arbitrage desk, before moving to Medici Capital Management to manage a $250MM StatArb portfolio; eventually became a partner of Keating Investments, a boutique merchant bank, where he co-founded and co-managed a merchant-banking fund and spearheaded expansion into China. M.S. in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business; B.S. in Economics and Quantitative Studies from Venice University, Italy.
Jonathan Man, CFA, Director/Portfolio Manager
Formerly, Digital Asset Markets trader at Celsius Network. Established DeFi desk and oversaw expansion of DeFi portfolio. Responsible for portfolio of DeFi governance tokens and market neutral strategies such as futures/spot arbitrage and exchange arbitrage trades. Contributed research pieces as independent analyst to Messari, a leading digital asset research portal. Before Celsius, spent 17 years at CIBC Capital Markets as part of the Real Estate Finance group. Responsibilities included trading commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and fixed income and credit derivatives, CMBS securitization, cash flow modelling and pricing. Bachelor of Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art; MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Wendy Beer, Independent Director of the Board
Principal at Azimuth Governance. Formerly, Managing Director and head of Wells Fargo Prime Services’ Business Consulting Group, and held roles with Credit Suisse and Salomon Smith Barney. She also was a senior attorney in the SEC’s Enforcement Division and has held legal roles in Furman Selz and Lehman Brothers.
Brad Cowdroy, Independent Director of the Board
Principal of Danesmead Partners. 20 years of experience working with hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity funds across different alternative investment strategies. Specific expertise within fund administration, accounting, valuation, investor communications and regulatory risk management.
