Fynn Kreuz, Partner
Fynn Kreuz has been working for and with Martin Saidler since 2013. In his current position, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Saidler & Co.’s portfolio company, Numbrs Bitcoin Self Custody. Throughout his career, Mr. Kreuz has held various leadership positions in communications, marketing and public relations at leading global consumer goods companies such as Coca-Cola and Puma. Mr. Kreuz holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Hamburg.
Severin Ruegger, Partner
Severin Jan Rüegger co-founded Sandbox Network (2007), a global network for talented young professionals and emerging leaders below the age of 30 across 100 countries, and Solosso (2009), an international ecommerce company, which was later acquired by a Swiss retail chain. Previously, Mr Rüegger invested in and co-founded a social commerce venture in South East Asia, which was acquired by a stock market listed company in 2011. He published a book on market-entry strategies in the Chinese banking market in 2009 and was named founder of the week by the Financial Times in 2010. Mr. Rüegger has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Gallen and a Master’s degree in Management from the London School of Economics (LSE).
Luca Toscani, Chief Operating Officer
20 years of experience as an executive, entrepreneur and investor in Europe, U.S. and Asia. Formerly, a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at TPRV Capital, LP, a Harvard endowment spin-out focused on relative value investments. Started his career in London at Bear Stearns equity arbitrage desk, before moving to Medici Capital Management to manage a $250MM StatArb portfolio; eventually became a partner of Keating Investments, a boutique merchant bank, where he co-founded and co-managed a merchant-banking fund and spearheaded expansion into China. M.S. in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business; B.S. in Economics and Quantitative Studies from Venice University, Italy.
Jonathan Man, CFA, Director/Portfolio Manager
Formerly, Digital Asset Markets trader at Celsius Network. Established DeFi desk and oversaw expansion of DeFi portfolio. Responsible for portfolio of DeFi governance tokens and market neutral strategies such as futures/spot arbitrage and exchange arbitrage trades. Contributed research pieces as independent analyst to Messari, a leading digital asset research portal. Before Celsius, spent 17 years at CIBC Capital Markets as part of the Real Estate Finance group. Responsibilities included trading commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and fixed income and credit derivatives, CMBS securitization, cash flow modelling and pricing. Bachelor of Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art; MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Wendy Beer, Independent Director of the Board
Principal of Danesmead Partners. Formerly, Managing Director and head of Wells Fargo Prime Services’ Business Consulting Group, and held roles with Credit Suisse and Salomon Smith Barney. She also was a senior attorney in the SEC’s Enforcement Division and has held legal roles in Furman Selz and Lehman Brothers.
Brad Cowdroy, Independent Director of the Board
Principal of Danesmead Partners. 20 years of experience working with hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity funds across different alternative investment strategies. Specific expertise within fund administration, accounting, valuation, investor communications and regulatory risk management.
Thomas Buetler, Member of the Board of Directors
Thomas Buetler is a highly qualified executive with extensive experience in Private Banking. He was previously Managing Director at Notenstein La Roche Private Bank where he headed Private Banking for Western Europe and Switzerland in the Zurich/Ticino region. Prior to that, he worked at BIL (Banque Internationale à Luxembourg) as the Head of Private Banking in Zurich, Basel, and Ticino and as the CEO of Credit Suisse Bavaria (Deutschland) AG. Thomas J. Buetler is a Member of the Crypto Valley Association Zug and a Member of the European Artificial Intelligence Alliance.
Gianni Scenini, Managing Partner, Chief Technology Officer
Gianni Scenini has been working at Numbrs since 2016. Starting his career at IBM, he was responsible for the technology solutions of enterprise customers in Europe. He also co-authored several technical books in emerging technologies at the IBM Research center in San Jose. Gianni Scenini worked in R&D at eCommerce company ATG Inc. in the USA (acquired by Oracle) and at Internet television platform startup Babelgum as chief architect, focusing on their core platform and recommendation system. He held similar senior positions at the Amadeus Group, the largest Global System Distribution provider serving the worldwide travel and tourism industry, and at UBS in Switzerland on their FX trading platform.
Luis Lacambra, Managing Partner, Head of Product
Luis Lacambra has been working at Numbrs since 2013. Luis has 15 years of experience in Product Development in Finance and Retail. He started his career as a Product Manager for Spain’s largest retail store. Later, Mr Lacambra co-founded an Engineering Consulting company in Valencia, where he was in charge of Requirements Engineering and Product Design. Luis Lacambra has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and completed a one-year research program at ETH Zurich.
Julia Pelleschi, Managing Partner, Operations
Julia Pelleschi has been with Numbrs since 2012. She joined Numbrs after finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Business Information Technology from the University of Applied Sciences of Zurich. During her time at Numbrs, Mrs. Pelleschi has held various leading positions in Product Development, Legal and HR. She became Partner in 2015 and Managing Partner in 2019. In her current role, she is responsible for Operations where she supports the CEO and all departments with operational and administrative tasks.
